Chirag Mehta is Vice President and Principal Analyst focusing on cybersecurity, next-gen application development, and product-led growth.

With over 25 years of experience, he has built, shipped, marketed, and sold successful enterprise SaaS products and solutions across startups, mid-size, and large companies. As a product leader overseeing engineering, product management, and design, he has consistently driven revenue growth and product innovation. He also held key leadership roles in product marketing, corporate strategy, ecosystem partnerships, and business development, leveraging his expertise to make a significant impact on various aspects of product success.

His holistic research approach on cybersecurity is grounded in reality that as sophisticated AI-led attacks become increasingly prevalent and as organizations aspire to empower their workforce—to work from anywhere with access to all their data and applications on their preferred devices—CISO and CIO are facing challenges to reimagine a cybersecurity landscape in the hybrid computing world. His aim is to help technology leaders navigate the complex cybersecurity landscape and mitigate risks while empowering business leaders to get work done.

Through his extensive hands-on experience as a technology practitioner—in designing, building, and running SaaS applications used by billions of users—his research on next-gen application development platforms focuses on challenges organizations face in delivering highly performant innovative products at rapid pace and scale. Previous Experience

Prior to Constellation, he was the Chief Product Officer of Zipline, a VC-backed Series B Retail SaaS company, where he led Products and Engineering. Prior to Zipline, he was the Chief Product Officer of iCIMS, a PE-backed largest SaaS talent acquisition suite with $400M+ in revenue.

Prior to that, he had various leadership roles with Google to drive the adoption and growth of Google Cloud, helping it grow from $4B a year to $4B a quarter in 4 years. Prior to Google, he had several leadership Product and Strategy roles with SAP and Oracle including significantly contributing to the growth of SAP HANA, an in-memory database and analytics platform, from 0 to $1B in three years.

Beyond his professional life, his love for mentoring and engaging with diverse communities has led him to teach and blog. He taught Computer Engineering graduate classes for 10+ years at Santa Clara University and San Jose State University. He was one of the earliest to blog on Cloud (in 2007), and he continues to engage with the larger Cloud and SaaS community through social media, conferences, and several other platforms.
