Uma Amuluru is a former federal prosecutor and White House attorney who leads The Boeing Company's Human Resources Department. She is responsible for building a pipeline of talent excellence across 170,000 global employees, along with learning and development, compensation and benefits, and employee and labor relations. She is a member of Boeing's Executive Council.

Prior to this role, she was the General Counsel for Boeing Defense, Space & Security, and she oversaw legal affairs for one of the world's largest space and defense contractors. Before that, Amuluru was the chief compliance officer for The Boeing Company. As chief compliance officer, Amuluru was responsible for Boeing’s ethics and compliance program, which enables business success through an organizational culture committed to integrity, ethical conduct, and compliance with laws and company policies.

Amuluru previously served as vice president and assistant general counsel for Boeing. She was responsible for legal advice and counsel to the chief engineer, the chief information officer and Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Operations leaders. Amuluru advised on matters related to intellectual property, cybersecurity, enterprise supply chain, and environment, health and safety.

Before joining Boeing, Amuluru held several senior positions in the federal government. As counselor to U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch, Amuluru advised on high-profile criminal and law enforcement matters. She was also associate White House counsel to President Barack Obama, a role in which she provided legal and strategic advice to senior White House officials on issues involving compliance, oversight and risk management. Amuluru also served as assistant United States attorney for the District of Columbia.

Amuluru began her legal career as a commercial litigator for large companies facing complex legal disputes. As an associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP and a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, Amuluru represented companies in government enforcement actions, investigations, and state and federal litigation.

She also served as a law clerk at the Northern District of Illinois and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Amuluru holds a Juris Doctor from Northwestern University School of Law and earned a bachelor’s degree from Duke University. She currently serves on the board of directors of Legal Aid Chicago and on the board of trustees for the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.
