The announcements were made at Oracle CloudWorld in London. The Oracle Database@Azure plans were previewed on Oracle's third quarter earnings conference call.
"We expect to continue receiving large contracts reserving cloud infrastructure capacity because the demand for our Gen2 AI infrastructure substantially exceeds supply—despite the fact we are opening new and expanding existing cloud datacenters," said Oracle CEO Safra Catz.
Oracle continued to build out its generative AI tools for its Autonomous Database with conversational AI, a broad set of large language models, new analytics for knowledge graphs, spatial learning and no-code modeling.
Oracle said its generative AI managed service on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is generally available and the enterprise software giant said it plans to infuse it throughout its database and application offerings.

Oracle futureproofed its database with AI vector search and large language (LLM) support in Oracle Database 23c as it melds generative AI applications with enterprise transactional data.
Oracle has big plans for its Cerner acquisition, but it has integration work ahead including moving a customer base to the cloud and rewriting applications with a little help from generative AI.
Oracle will operate and manage OCI services directly within Azure data centers in North America and Europe. The Oracle-Microsoft partnership is easy to understand: Both have common foes in AWS and Google Cloud.
