How a Technology Giant Goes Beyond Business to Improve the Lives of People Globally
When you think about the world’s largest technology companies, some of the first things that come to mind are probably computers, data centers, digital storage, network infrastructure and software. Cisco Systems - headquartered in San Jose, California, with approximately 70,000 employees worldwide and $49 billion in revenue in fiscal year 2016 - easily fits that picture. However, there is far more to the company than selling hardware, software and IT services. Cisco is one of the world’s leading organizations in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). It dedicates time, money and education to helping solve some of the world’s biggest social, environmental and technical challenges.
