Vendor Profile: Hired
This report is a vendor profile and buyer's guide for the talent acquisition platform, Hired
In early 2012, three entrepreneurs met informally and realized that they all had experienced big challenges in hiring talent for their previous enterprises. Why was talent acquisition so difficult? The trio saw an opportunity to disrupt best practices with a new approach: Reduce the friction of hiring by matching the right talent to the right opportunity at the right time. The goal was to enable enterprises to just search an online talent pool of individuals who were already screened and were actively job seeking – instead of the “hope and pray” approach of posting to numerous job boards when practicing traditional hiring. The new approach would reduce friction in the process substantially and likely increase the speed of hiring.
The next day, the trio – Matt Mickiewicz, Douglas Feirstein and Allan Grant - started Hired with the purchase of an internet domain name. Their talent acquisition platform not only makes it easy for job seekers to apply, but it’s also easy for enterprises to find them, thanks to powerful search and matching algorithms. Hired piloted the platform in a region desperate to secure talent as fast as possible - Silicon Valley. After launching its business model successfully there, Hired has expanded its online platform to 11 U.S. cities as well as London, Paris, Melbourne, Sydney, Singapore, and Toronto.
Four years after its founding, results are in: According to Hired, its products and services can help companies double the speed of their talent acquisition process, halving the more than 50 days usually required for a job. More than 6,000 employers are signed up and more than 48,000 job candidates apply every month. Seventy-five percent of job offers made through Hired are accepted.
