The Project
Relying on manual, error-prone financial processes for consolidating and analyzing financial data was proving an obstacle to PlainsCapital Corporation’s continued growth. Our company knew we needed to analyze data and drill through to results, as well as identify financial trends quickly and easily. By implementing A3 Solutions corporate performance management software, PlainsCapital saw nearly a 97% drop in the time it takes to produce monthly cost reports and we now have unified our financials.
The Technology
Metrics Matter
Before implementation, it took 27 hours to produce monthly cost allocations and monthly reports on actual versus budgeted expenses took several days.
After implementation, the time to produce monthly cost allocations is down to 1 hour and monthly reports are now completed in less than 1 hour.
Disruptive Factor
While financials are a fact-of-life for any company, this implementation allows us to unify our financials in a way we had never been able to do with spreadsheets. Data is available much faster and is always up-to-date allowing us to understand the potential impact of any changes in our operating companies.
Shining Moment
Getting the go-ahead from our new CFO to pursue a better system to harness our financial data was an exciting moment! My staff and I embraced the opportunity to find and implement the best system to meet our needs of unifying all financial data and having the ability to see trends faster. In the past year, A3 Solutions has helped our company become a much more proactive, information-driven organization.
