Policy and sustainable finance executive with 20 years of experience leading diverse teams in economic and social policy development, strategy design, and program execution.

Meaghan serves as the Chief Sustainability Officer at BNY Mellon, leading a team responsible for driving BNY Mellon’s sustainability strategy across all lines of business and corporate functions.

Meaghan previously led the global ESG integration and sustainable investing innovation team at BlackRock, and served as EMEA Head of Sustainable Investing, focused on identifying products and solutions that incorporate environmental, social, and governance considerations to meet the varied investment objectives of EMEA clients. Meaghan joined BlackRock in 2016 as a Managing Director in Corporate Strategy and Board Liaison, leading the Board of Directors function and partnering with business leads to develop strategic initiatives.

Meaghan served for more than a dozen years in US economic and fiscal policy, including in the Obama Administration as a Counselor to the Treasury Secretary, and as a lead policy advisor to the White House Chief of Staff and three Directors of the Office of Management and Budget. She has contributed to nine Presidential budget requests across two administrations, and served as policy lead on the bipartisan National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform (Bowles-Simpson Commission).
