As Chief Information Officer of Mars Wrigley, Romain Apert is responsible for driving the digital transformation agenda, while continuing to deliver effectiveness and efficiency to existing business and technology platforms. In the last two years, and following completion of the successful integration of Mars Wrigley, Romain has driven a new wave of consumer and user centricity, unleashed the power of data, analytics, AI, and automation while driving new agile digital behaviors across functions and geographies.
As a member of the Mars Wrigley Leadership Team, Romain has been fostering a culture of reinforcement learning leveraging Bayesian mindset and techniques to continuously evolve key beliefs as we learn new information about the VUCA world (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous), and ultimately create differentiating value for Mars Wrigley – This story of intentional emergence, and convergence between mathematics and cognitive science, has been summarized in the Keynote “From Machine Learning to Human Learning”.
Romain has been based between the United Kingdom, France and the United States. He holds a degree in General Engineering from ECAM Lyon and brings more than 20 years of IT experience to the CPG industry.
