Jake Dorst is currently the Chief Information and Innovation Officer for Tahoe Forest Health System (TFHS) in Truckee, California. He has spent his last 20 years working in the Healthcare Information Technology field, helping health care systems better their technology position. He most recently led TFHS on their journey to an integrated electronic health record solution, that unified the patient record for his community and implemented a new state of the art networking infrastructure. He is preparing the health system for future growth in streamlining and reducing the complexity of their systems and technology in preparation for the new consumerism movement that is forecasted to be a major factor in the future of our nation’s healthcare market. Prior to joining TFHS, Mr. Dorst worked as the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Maryland based Meritus Health and as the Chief Information Officer for Community Health Systems Southside Regional Medical Center. Mr. Dorst has consistently been named as a “CIO to Know” since 2015. Mr. Dorst can be found at many healthcare conferences around the country either presenting new innovative technology solutions or participating in group panel discussions with his peers. In his off time, Jake enjoys skiing, hiking, and camping in the Lake Tahoe region with his wife and three children.
