Since May 1st, 2020, Ulrich Irnich is the new CIO of Vodafone Germany. Before joining Vodafone, Ulrich served as the CIO of Unitymedia for several years, where he successfully implemented the agile transformation of the IT department.  

Ulrich has a strong technical background and with more than 20 years of management experience, he led numerous teams to success. Within the last five years, he has explicitly focused on simplification and transformation programs across his organization. As Director of Simplification & Transformation at Telefonica, he successfully managed the “Future Now” transformation program; demonstrating change was already an essential part of his work life.  

Ulrich has the necessary energy and endurance - both for marathon runs and for complex projects and tasks. Therefore, he is now transforming the Vodafone IT as a visionary and team player by making a significant contribution to Vodafone’s development towards a TechCo.
