As Vice President, West Communications, Maria Poveromo leads IBM's west coast communications and public relations programs.
Prior to this role, Maria served as Vice President of Communications at Adobe, a leader in digital marketing and digital media/creative solutions. She oversaw Adobe's external and internal communications programs including public relations, analyst relations, social media, employee/executive communications, public policy/government relations and crisis communications. Prior to being promoted to vice president, Maria led the Global Social Media and Public Relations team at Adobe for nine years.
Before joining Adobe, Maria held numerous marketing and communications positions at high technology companies and non-profit organizations located in Silicon Valley and in Europe. Maria was named as one of the 25 Smartest Women on Twitter by FastCompany, listed on Leadtail’s “Behind the Brand” list of top social media influencers and named as one of Lee Odden’s 15 Women Who Rock Social Media.
