Liebow is a recognized leader and advisor to the c-suite on market shaping initiatives and growth programs in a broad range of categories including technology, semiconductors, internet services, satellite communications, and direct to consumer goods and services like food, beverages, travel, and healthcare.
He has driven numerous digital business transformation initiatives at companies ranging from upstarts to large global multi-nationals. He has held senior leadership roles with full P&L responsibility, led digital technology, operations, development, product management, marketing, direct and partner sales leadership, with hands-on experience building applications and platforms to solve real business problems. He has led global teams in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
Michael recently attempted to spin out and grow a 10,000+ person global cloud practice from Atos into a business line of new Eviden. He was previously a Senior Advisor at McKinsey & Company where he worked to establish the firms cloud practice, and a Managing Director for Accenture’s cloud business, which he grew from inception to global leadership with sales of cloud services in the billions of booked revenue. Prior to that Liebow served as a CEO, a board member and an exec-in-residence with several portfolio companies of New Enterprise Associates, a top venture capital firm. Michael successfully exited two companies and incubated a third concept in partnership with salesforce.com.
Before NEA, Michael was a Vice President at IBM where he ran strategic growth initiatives in Global Services, Software and Hardware. He built technologies and capabilities to target the early market for cloud computing.
Liebow earned his bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He has attended Leadership Development Programs at Harvard, Stanford and most recently, Insead. He studied International Business at Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Nantes. He was selected a Fellow at the U.S. Department of State where he engaged in several digital initiatives within the center for eDiplomacy. He also ran a crowd-sourced initiative to commemorate the events of 9-11 with an augmented reality mobile application of the twin towers.
He is an enthusiastic supporter of our next generation of young women to select careers in STEM. He travels the globe extensively but resides in Connecticut with his wife and children, and enjoys outdoor sports, fine food, friends and a large extended family.
