Jill Ashley Brandt is CEO of Covento by Vestas. Covento is a new technology and marketplace commerce solution that launched in 5 EU countries in Nov 2022. Covento is focused on serving the needs of renewable energy field engineers, technicians, site managers, and procurement professionals. Prior to leading Covento, Jill spent several years at Amazon where her most recent role was as the Global Head of Strategy and Business Development for Amazon Pay and Alexa Money Domain. Before that she was the Principal of Strategy and Growth at Amazon Business (Amazon’s B2B marketplace and the fastest growing business in the history of Amazon). Jill has been fortunate to lead and be part of the core teams for the launch of products such as Business Prime, the Amazon Business Prime credit card (Amazon’s first small business credit card), Alexa Pay for Gas, and Whole Foods Just Walk Out stores (cashierless technology for grocery shopping). Before Amazon, Jill worked in a range of industries from renewable and distributed energy (that includes being one of the first 10 employees at EVgo, the USA’s largest network of DC-fast chargers for electric vehicles) to finance, auto OEMs and professional sports teams. Jill has received a 2015 Crystal Award from the American Marketing Association, a 2011 Lantern Award from the Business Marketing Association, and is an Editorial Advisory Board member for Innovation Leader. Jill has traveled to more than 90 countries, lived on three continents, and has a goal of one day being able to karaoke a Busta Rhymes song. Jill has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas and currently resides in Copenhagen, Denmark with Daisy, her rescue dog.
