As Corporate Vice President, Chief Information Officer & Chief Digital Officer for The Dow Chemical Company, Kalmar drives strategy for IT, Digital, business process solutions and analytics that deliver competitive advantage for Dow. Kalmar is a member of Dow’s Executive Leadership Team. In addition, Kalmar has global responsibility for Cyber Security and Risk Management, Reporting & Advanced Analytics, Facilities Management, and the Dow Services Business which sells services beyond Dow. She also chairs the Executive Steering Team, which is accountable for providing the overarching vision and corporate priorities, allocating resources and managing overall risk for IT & Digital investments. Kalmar and her teams have been at the epicenter of Dow’s critical merger & acquisition projects, and she will continue to develop and implement the IT strategy for these activities.
 
Kalmar joined Dow in January 1987 in Research Information Systems in Midland, Michigan. In 1990 she moved to the corporate Information Systems group where she held progressive leadership roles across many areas of IT. In 1996 she relocated to open the Southfield, Michigan office launching the strategic IT partnership between Dow and Accenture where she led the Global Reporting Program. She returned to Midland, Michigan in 2004.
 
A change agent within Dow, Kalmar is a driver of key transformational efforts working in partnership with functional and business leaders. She has been involved in spearheading and leading many new capabilities for Dow including Digital Strategy, Enterprise Resource Planning, Global Reporting, eBusiness and eCommerce. Kalmar led the Next Enterprise Architecture Program and was accountable for the implementation of the Manufacturing and Business Information Systems, required to operate the world scale Sadara joint venture between Dow and Saudi Aramco. She was also instrumental in the startup and operations of the Diamond Systems Solutions organization.
