My professional experience has the foundation of the "Big 5" consulting mentality focused on customer service. I have worked in the private, non-profit and public sectors. My management experience ranges from small teams to large divisions. I have controlled and monitored project budgets ranging from $1,000 to $8M and multi-million dollar unit operational budgets.

My professional goal is to lead people to utilize IT in a way that makes a positive impact on our community. I'm a translator of business needs into technical solutions and vice versa. My key strength is working with people and quickly learning how technology or process re-engineering can improve their work and ultimately the services they deliver.

As the CIO for Sunnyvale, I strive to help our community and the departments I serve through the effective use of technology. I will continue to improve and implement IT services through strong partnerships with my colleagues, support from the City Manager's Office and City Council, and the ability of my staff to implement change.
