DeWayne Griffin has always been driven by the principle of doing the right things, not just in the insurance and financial services industries where he began his journey, but across all professional sectors. Having recently shifted his career into the professional services field, DeWayne brings a wealth of experience and a broad perspective. This shift reflects his commitment to fostering executive leadership, engaging talent in information technology, and pioneering in digital strategy and business development. In his remarkable 22-year career with one of the country’s most trusted Fortune 50 companies, DeWayne has held numerous leadership roles that propelled the company to achieve new heights through innovation in business strategy, democratizing analytics, talent strategy & alignment, and overseeing complex project lifecycles. As the former Vice President & Chief Data Officer, DeWayne oversaw areas responsible for data and analytics, including strategy management and modernization. He ensured that data was recognized, protected, and leveraged to serve more customers in innovative ways. In June 2023, DeWayne took his commitment to digital excellence further by joining the senior executive team of Insight Global® as their Chief Digital & Information Officer, after serving two years on their board. As a board member he helped chair the Digital Transformation committee which started the company’s modernization journey. His addition to the senior executive team was to help take a more hands on role to assist the company in leveraging digital capabilities for its continued growth. DeWayne’s commitment to excellence stretches beyond his professional life into deep engagement with his family and community. He is an active member of the Georgia CIO Council, and the Information Technology Senior Management Forum (ITSMF), where his contributions to the field of information technology were honored with the organization's highest recognition, being named a fellow. DeWayne continues to make an impact as an Executive Ambassador for TechBridge, demonstrating his dedication to leveraging technology for social good, and he also sits on the advisory council for the Women in Technology (WIT) non-profit. He and his wife are co-business owners of a Just Love Coffee Cafe franchise, a venture that combines his passion for community engagement with his entrepreneurial spirit. DeWayne received a bachelor’s degree in computer science with a minor focused in business management from PennWest California located in his home state of Pennsylvania. In support of his business focused continuous learner mindset he earned his General Insurance and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designations. In closing, his professional and community engagements aside, DeWayne cherishes the time spent with his wife, LaToya, and their three children (Tre’on, Amiyah, Nyles). Together they believe in the importance of balancing significant personal achievements with a commitment to family and community well-being.
