Byron has been building and running Internet and software companies for twenty years. Of the five companies he either started or joined early, two went public, two were sold, and one resulted in a merger. 

In addition to serving in a wide range of senior management roles, from CEO to VP of Marketing to Chief Innovation Officer, Byron has produced diverse body of patented work, authored an award-winning book about the future of technology, and given dozens of talks to both technical and non-technical audiences around the world. He's presently publisher of Gigaom and finishing up a book on artificial intelligence set to be published in 2017 by Atria, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. This book will be published concurrently in several languages, including Chinese and Korean.

Bloomberg Businessweek credits Byron with having “quietly pioneered a new breed of media company.” Wired Magazine describes him as “a tall Texan who serves as Demand’s chief innovation officer and who created the idea-spawning algorithm that lies at the heart of Demand’s process.” The Financial Times of London reported that he “is typical of the new wave of internet entrepreneurs out to turn the economics of the media industry on its head.” And Business Insider concluded that Byron “seems like a kooky – and awesome guy… We’d love to buy him a beer.”

Kirk Krappe is a veteran of Enterprise Software with over two decades of SaaS experience and an EY Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist, having been involved in the very first instances of online enterprise applications. Kirk has extensive experience marketing, selling and delivering enterprise solutions to organizations worldwide.
 
In 2006, Kirk co-founded the SaaS company, Apttus. Apttus is the category-defining Quote-to-Cash software company that drives the vital business process between the buyer’s interest in a purchase and the realization of revenue. Applications include Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ), Renewals, Contract Management, Revenue Management and E-Commerce. The company has raised $186M in 3 rounds of funding from private growth equity, ICONIQ, K1 Capital, KIA and salesforce.com. Today, under Kirk’s leadership as CEO the company has over 500 customers, offices in several countries and multiple patents pending.
 
Previous to Apttus, Kirk held the role of Executive Vice President of Worldwide Markets at iMANY. Additionally, Kirk was Chief Executive Officer of Nextance, a privately-held contract management solutions provider. Kirk was also Senior Vice President at Corio through Corio’s initial public offering where he pioneered the original concept of SaaS before it became mainstream. Kirk also served as Vice President of Solutions Marketing with Oracle and Vice President of Industry Solutions with Siebel Systems. Kirk has an Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of London and an MBA from INSEAD, Europe’s leading business school.
