As Chief Information Officer of Citi, Jonathan Lofthouse is responsible for all business technology and ensuring that the organization delivers safe, secure and optimized solutions to serve Citi’s clients. In this role, Jon focuses on accelerating the modernization and simplification of technology and building platforms that enable a One Citi approach.
Most recently, Jon was the Co-Chief Information Officer of Citi, responsible for overseeing Citi’s business-facing technology, technology for Citi’s Global Functions and the company’s technology infrastructure.
Prior to this, Jon led the Markets Technology group, which supports Equities and Prime, Global Spread Products, G10 Rates, LM Rates, FX and Commodities Sales and Trading.
Jon joined Citigroup in 1997 as part of the technology graduate program in the UK and relocated to New York in 2013. During his tenure at Citi, he has held a variety of roles in Fixed Income, Trade Processing, Electronic Trading and Core Software Components. Prior to becoming the Head of Markets Technology, he led Macro Technology, and before that, Rates Technology, where he was responsible for the build out of automated trading for the US Rates business.
Beyond his immediate job responsibilities, Jon serves as the lead sponsor of Engineering Excellence 2.0, Citi’s internal training program aimed to develop both technical and behavioral capabilities of current engineering talent.
Jon is married and has two children.
