Tenrox will be hosting its 2013 User Conference on November 7 & 8 with pre-conference training on November 6. This year’s topics focus: 

Tenrox ROI - Generating the Greatest Impact from your Solution.

During our event, our goal is to allow you to obtain insights and best practices on implementation processes, managing your financials, and on efficient use of data. We’ll be hosting several sessions in various formats such as panelist discussions, customer success stories, workshops while providing several opportunities for you to network with your peers.

In addition to the topics below, we will also offer presentations on our 18-month solution roadmap and hot topics from reputable thought leaders.

Our “Ask the Experts” room will be available again this year where you can meet with a Senior Solution Consultant, Implementation Consultant, or Business Analyst to answer any questions that you may have regarding the Tenrox solution.

Preliminary User Conference Agenda:

Each session will be 40 minutes in length with a 10 minute Q&A period.

Session Topics:

  1. Empowering Project Managers with Tools for Highly Effective Results: Want to improve time spent and governance on projects? This session will cover best practices for managing projects by fully utilizing the appropriate Tenrox features. User examples will also be presented and discussed. 
  2. Cloud Security from the Bottom-Up: Want to protect your project information? This session will look at the various security levels that can be defined within your organization from a bottom-up approach. We’ll take a look at which options would be best when considering the limiting of access for certain users at various levels. 
  3. “Under the Hood” – Detailed Project Reporting: We'll take a look “under the hood” to help you manage the most challenging projects with ease. We’ll discuss which KPIs should be tracked and how to utilize Tenrox to extract the information required. We will also demonstrate reporting via our soon to be released “Tenrox Store”. 
  4. PMO Health Check – Every PMO Needs One: Refocusing your Project Management Office (PMO) or Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) to ensure it continues to meet the strategic imperatives of your organization is critical for its survival in today's economic climate. This action will help protect it from budget cuts because management will view it as a source of opportunity for the organization. This session will review some of the compliance issues you may be coming up against and how to mitigate them using Tenrox. User experiences will also be shared. 
  5. Connecting to 3rd Party Apps - Trends & Benefits: This session will explore the CRM, Financial, Payroll and Microsoft Office connectors that are currently supported by Tenrox and each one’s advantages. We will also look at mobile and social communication. This is a “do not miss” session if you want to know more about these trends and how Tenrox fits in. 
  6. Global Project Management: How to Manage a Globally Dispersed Workforce without Additional Overhead: Global staffing and management of a workforce diverse in culture and language skills and dispersed in different nations are the key goals of global project management. In this session, we will look at managing globally dispersed teams in the most effective way using Tenrox. You will learn how to manage skillsets across different geographical locations, how to track actuals and utilizing multi-currency processes and doing all of this without additional overhead for your PMO. 
  7. Demand Planning Maturity Model: In today’s unstable economy, many organizations are finding out that they have inadequate processes to handle demand planning, and traditional methods of predicting demand aren’t efficient in a fluctuating market. In this session, we will discuss the characteristics of a successful demand forecasting system and the steps that organizations need to take in order improve their demand management. We will also look at various maturity levels and how to attack each of them. Examples will be made using the redesigned Tenrox Resource Planning module. 
  8. Complete Project Financials: This session will cover the basics on project financials (how to integrate your project data with your financial system), revenue recognition: how to utilize Tenrox to recognize revenue for your projects. New features and user interface will be presented. 
  9. Project Management from Sales to Services - Best Practices for CRM to Project Management Systems: During this session we will discuss how to integrate your CRM to Tenrox and exchange information to provide sales and project teams with instant visibility into project status, pipeline, cost, budget, and billing information. We will use the Tenrox-Salesforce.com Quick Connect integration and demonstrate the Tenrox Workflow tool’s alerts and notification processes.
